Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread was released in 1934. It was about a couple trying to put food on the table during the Great Depression. Though this film shows the realities of the Great Depression it still allowed people to be someone else for a while knowing that when they leave the theater the problem they watched weren't there own. This film incorporated many of the realities the people of the 30's faced. The main character is jobless for so long gets a job on the farm and the beginnings of the dust bowl are described.
